About the Winery
Sol Rouge - which translates to “Red Soil” in French - derived its name from the unique piece of land where the winery sits in the Red Hills Appellation. This family estate vineyard and winery sits north of Napa Valley in the foothills of the dormant volcano which formed the North Coast wine country. Sol Rouge's 70 acre estate grows Rhone and Bordeaux grape varieties, and also sources from distinguished California growers. Sol Rouge's non-interventionalist winemaking style helps bring the true flavor and characteristics of the vineyard through to its wines. Visitors to Sol Rouge's Treasur Island tasting room can enjoy Bocce Ball while wine sipping wine and enjoying views of the Bay.
